Welcome to the 2020 season! We know everyone is excited and it is just about to kick off, we just need to go over a few things. Remember for the most up-to-date information always contact your team’s Manager or Coach or check the Club’s Facebook page,

Please understand the 2020 season has been a challenge for all since the pandemic of COVID-19. Changes in plans and procedures will occur and be published here as the State and Federal Government announce changes to the Public Health Order which is in effect.

We ask that all Club members remain patient and comply with all requests to ensure the health and safety of our players, members, volunteers and spectators.

This Club is run entirely by volunteers; the committee, coaching, managing and training positions are all carried out by people who give up their own time to enable your children to participate in rugby league, please show them the respect they deserve at all times. Without volunteers we have no Club!

Alcohol, Drug and Smoke Free

Allsopp-Patterson Ovals shall be alcohol, drug and smoke free at all times during club activity. A fine of up to $550.00 applies to individuals who smoke in spectator areas at public sporting grounds during organised sporting events. Along with the fields, the adjoining streets and car parks are also alcohol free, 24/7, this is under the jurisdiction of the Police not the Club. If you witness individuals breaking these rules please advise a member of the Committee immediately.

Abusive or offensive behaviour at training, games or on social media will not be tolerated, whether it is a player, parent, spectator etc. Please remember we are here to participate or watch our children play, it is their enjoyment of the game that is of paramount importance.

Cambridge Park Cranebrook JRLFC will not tolerate abuse or offensive behaviour directed at referees. The Club is committed to supporting this and fully endorses and supports the National Code of Conduct for Rugby League for players, spectators and administrators. If you witness or are involved in an incident you are to advise a member of the Committee immediately who will issue advice on the appropriate action to take.

Penrith Junior League issues the draw on a weekly basis, there is no season draw and while sites or apps may have a season draw listed you should always check with your team manager or the Club’s Facebook page for the most up-to-date information,

BBQ and Ground Support

All teams are required, to participate in ground duty – this involves set up of fields, ground duty, BBQ, rubbish collection and packing up of fields.

Individual Team Fundraising

Teams may ask parents/guardians to contribute a non-compulsory maximum $5 a week donation towards individual team fundraising. . The manager must bank all monies raised with the Club and keep a register of who has paid etc. A receipt is issued to the manager for the monies banked with the Club. At the end of the season (or as required) the Club will refund the monies banked. Managers should keep an “open book” so that any parent can see what monies have been raised at any given time.

Please note: the Club also has fundraising activities planned throughout the year and these will take priority over any individual team’s request.

Wet Weather Information

It is the decision of Penrith Junior Rugby League in conjunction with Blacktown City Council, Penrith City Council and Blue Mountains City Council to cancel weekend games. Details regarding cancellations will be posted on our Facebook page. Closure for training purposes is at the Club’s discretion, but also involves common sense. If there has been substantial rain, the fields will be closed. The Club is subject to penalties should the fields be damaged due to Club use. Also if the fields are used for training purposes, they could be unplayable on the weekend. Closure of fields for training will be via on our website as well as Facebook page. Please contact your team’s Manager or Coach if you have any questions regarding field closures.

Hope you all enjoy the season!
